UAMS lists Online Appointment as requiring a MyChart account. If you are not sure whether your clinic supports online scheduling, use the appointment line or clinic number.

Waitlist and earlier appointments

UAMS says many clinics let patients ask to be placed on a waiting list and be notified if an earlier appointment becomes available.

View results and record details

UAMS MyChart can show lab and test results, medical conditions, procedures, medications, allergies and immunizations depending on what is available in your record.

Connect other MyChart organizations

UAMS says information from other MyChart accounts can appear in your UAMS Health account, including appointments, test results and information from participating facilities.

Use Apple Health safely

UAMS says Apple Health can bring available medical data into one place, with information protected by the iPhone passcode, Touch ID or Face ID.

Message your doctor

Use MyChart messages for non-urgent questions connected to your UAMS care. Keep messages focused so the care team can route them correctly.

Request refills

UAMS says MyChart can help refill prescriptions, and UAMS notes prescription refills from the UAMS Health Pharmacy can be requested using the MyChart smartphone app.

Patient age 11 and under

If you have a UAMS MyChart account, log in, open Menu, search Request Proxy, choose the link for ages 11 and under, complete the patient information and submit. UAMS says approval can take up to three business days.

Requester is not a UAMS patient

For a patient age 11 and under, UAMS says a non-UAMS patient can visit the MyChart site and use “Request Proxy Access for a Minor.”

Patient age 12 or older

UAMS says access must be granted through MyChart by the patient age 12 or older. The patient uses Sharing Hub or Request Proxy steps depending on whether the proxy has a UAMS account.

MyChart Symptom Checker

UAMS HealthNow lists a MyChart Symptom Checker that helps patients answer basic symptom questions and be directed to the most appropriate urgent care route.

Virtual Urgent Care hours

UAMS says Virtual Urgent Care is available from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., seven days a week, for illness or minor injuries from home.

Who can use it

UAMS says anyone in Arkansas can use UAMS HealthNow. You do not have to be an Arkansas resident, but you must be in Arkansas during the visit.

One login note

The UAMS account-activation guide says if you are already a UAMS patient with a MyChart account, you do not need another account; one login can access both medical record and employee/student health record where applicable.

Health questionnaires

UAMS employee/student guides mention job or college-related health questionnaires, new employee screenings, annual flu shot appointments and health-record uploads when required.

Keep roles separate

Use patient-care sections for clinical care, billing and appointments. Use student/employee instructions only when you are completing UAMS Student and Employee Health requirements.
