Genesis says anyone can use MyChart and a special doctor access code is not required. Use only the official signup page.

If you forgot your username or password, use the official recovery tools or call the Genesis MyChart Support Line.

MyChart users

Sign in to Genesis MyChart to pay a bill from inside your account and view account-related billing information.

Not a MyChart user?

Use the official MyChart Guest Login / Pay as Guest route if you have the required statement details.

Call for billing help

Genesis says you can pay through MyChart or over the phone by calling 740-454-4335. Patient Resource Center support is available Monday-Friday, 7 a.m.-5 p.m.

Request records from Genesis

• Visit Medical Records in the Grange Building at 2798 Maple Avenue, Zanesville, OH 43701.
• Request through MyChart when available.
• Email genesisreleaseofinformation@genesishcs.org.
• Fax 740-454-5057.
• Mail to Genesis Medical Records, 2951 Maple Ave, Zanesville, OH 43701, Attn: Medical Records.
• Call 740-454-5905 option 3 with questions.

Records to another provider

• Another provider can request records directly.
• Provider request phone: 740-454-5905 option 2.
• Provider request fax: 740-454-5584.
• Genesis says there is no cost when records are sent for treatment.
• Most requests are completed within five business days, but larger or older requests may take longer.
• Bring a valid photo ID and legal documents if requesting records for someone else.

Imaging copies

For X-ray, CT scans or other imaging, Genesis lists Genesis Hospital Imaging at 740-454-4301 and Genesis Imaging Center at 740-454-4009.

Record fees

Genesis lists fee details on its official Medical Records page. Patient requests may be free in some cases, and separate charges may apply for CDs, DVDs, electronic delivery, imaging or paper pages.

Special records

Genesis says some records, such as substance use treatment records, may require an additional consent form. Use the official Medical Records process for these requests.

Appointment reminders

• Confirmation requests may be sent seven days before the appointment.
• If no action is taken, another reminder may be sent three days before.
• A reminder is always sent one day before the appointment.
• Text and phone calls are sent between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m. ET.
• If both text and phone are selected, Genesis says the message is sent by text only.

Notification control

• Appointment updates may be delivered by text, email or MyChart message depending on preferences.
• Some offices allow rescheduling or canceling by MyChart or text.
• If the option is not shown, call the office by phone.
• You can update contact information in MyChart or through your doctor’s office.
• Text START to 57378 to opt back in, STOP to opt out, or HELP for MyChart Help Desk contact information.

Request proxy for child 0-12 or applicable adult

• Log in to MyChart.
• Open the menu.
• Click Request Proxy Access.
• Fill out the form with the child’s information.
• Submit the request.
• Genesis HIM reviews the request and contacts you after processing.

Grant proxy for age 13 and older

• The patient logs in to MyChart.
• Open the menu.
• Click Grant Proxy Access.
• Click Invite Someone.
• Fill out the proxy information.
• Send the invite.

Wrong portal

• Genesis HealthCare System Ohio uses mychart.genesishcs.org.
• MercyOne Genesis uses MyGenesis Patient Portal.
• MHS GENESIS is the military portal and requires military identity access.
• If your bill or activation link fails, re-check the organization first.

2FA or code issue

• Genesis says MyChart users may be prompted to enable 2FA.
• Options include email, text message or authenticator app.
• Use codes only inside the official Genesis MyChart page.
• Call 740-454-5008 if 2FA blocks access.

Browser or app issue

• Enable cookies and JavaScript.
• Use a modern browser.
• Clear cache if the page loops.
• Try a trusted personal device.
• Use the full website if app navigation is confusing.

Genesis Hospital visit basics

• Hospital hours: open 24 hours, Monday through Sunday.
• Services listed include emergency care, imaging, laboratory, maternity, surgery and trauma care.
• Use your appointment details for the exact department, desk and arrival time.

Parking and valet tips

• Visitor parking is available in front of Genesis Hospital.
• Additional parking is near the Physician Pavilion on the south side.
• Free valet parking is listed at Genesis Hospital Monday-Friday, 5:30 a.m.-4 p.m.
• Free valet is also listed at Genesis Cancer Care Center and Physician Pavilion Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m.-4 p.m.
• Valet service is not available on major holidays.

Before you sign in

• Start from mychart.genesishcs.org or genesishcs.org.
• Confirm you are not on MyGenesis or MHS GENESIS by mistake.
• Do not use copied login boxes on guide websites.
• Use your own device when possible.
• Never share one-time codes.

• Use Genesis MyChart or official guest pay only.
• Match account details to your statement.
• Do not pay through popups or unknown text links.
