MyChart Samaritan usually means the MyChart patient portal for Samaritan Health Services in Oregon, serving communities around Corvallis, Albany, Lebanon, Lincoln City and Newport.
This guide goes beyond a login link. It explains two-step verification, passkeys, activation-code rules, teen and proxy access, OpenNotes, result release, appointment waitlists, eCheck-in, “I’m Here” arrival notifications, virtual care, complete-record requests, billing plans and the local Samaritan support numbers that actually match each task.
Quick answer: use mychart.samhealth.org for Samaritan Health Services MyChart in Oregon. The official portal currently offers login, signup, account recovery, Pay as Guest, Guest Estimates, two-step verification, virtual walk-in care, E-Visits, appointment management, test results and prescription-refill tools.
Privacy boundary: MyChart-Health.org is an independent informational website. It is not Samaritan Health Services, Epic or a medical-record custodian. Never type a MyChart password, activation code, two-step verification code, Social Security number, medical information, insurance data or payment information into this article.
First Check: Samaritan Health Services Oregon or Samaritan Healthcare Washington?
This distinction matters because both organizations use “Samaritan” and both have patient-portal information online, but they are separate health systems with different MyChart login and support routes.
| If your care was with | Location clue | Portal clue | Support clue |
|---|---|---|---|
| Samaritan Health Services | Corvallis, Albany, Lebanon, Lincoln City, Newport and surrounding Oregon communities. | mychart.samhealth.org | 541-768-5765 or 855-635-8304. |
| Samaritan Healthcare | Moses Lake / central Washington. | Uses a separate MyChart arrangement connected with Providence. | Its official site lists a different MyChart Help Desk. |
This article covers Oregon. If your hospital is Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center, Samaritan Albany General Hospital, Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital, Samaritan North Lincoln Hospital or Samaritan Pacific Communities Hospital, use the Oregon Samaritan Health Services portal described here.
Use the Right Official Samaritan MyChart Route
Most portal problems become easier when you start on the page built for the specific task rather than repeatedly returning to the login form.
| Task | Official route | What you need | What happens next |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sign in | Samaritan MyChart login | Username/password, Epic ID or configured passkey. | Complete two-step verification when required. |
| Create an account | MyChart signup | Information matching the Samaritan patient record. | Verify contact/identity details and create credentials, or wait for activation-team review. |
| Have an activation code | Start from the official login page and choose I Have An Activation Code. | Unused code issued by Samaritan. | Create your username and password. |
| Forgot login information | Use Forgot login information? on the official login page. | Identity/contact information associated with your account. | Recover username/password or contact Patient Support. |
| Pay a bill | Samaritan bill-pay options | Statement/account information. | Pay in MyChart or use the official online-payment route without a MyChart account. |
| Get an estimate | Guest Estimates | Facility/procedure information and insurance details when relevant. | Review estimated patient responsibility; final charges can differ. |
| Request complete records | Medical Records request page | Patient identity and authorization appropriate to the request. | Track the formal request separately from routine MyChart record viewing. |
Samaritan MyChart Signup and Activation
Samaritan says patients may receive an activation code after an inpatient or outpatient visit. Patients can also request access from the MyChart sign-in page or use online signup.
Open the official signup page
Go to mychart.samhealth.org and use Samaritan’s signup process. Do not enter identity details into copied registration forms.
Enter information that matches your Samaritan record
The current signup form requests items such as your name, date of birth, email, phone information and legal sex so the system can match or verify you.
Complete contact or identity verification
Samaritan says a third-party verification system may compare your responses with its own database; the verification answers are not stored at your clinic.
Create your username and password when approved
If verification is completed immediately, continue with the credential setup shown by MyChart.
If automated verification fails, watch for activation-team follow-up
Samaritan’s signup page says a request that needs processing may take up to a week. An activation code may be sent by email or letter after approval.
Existing account warning: if signup says an account already exists, go back to the login page and use Forgot login information? instead of creating duplicate signup requests.
Samaritan MyChart Two-Step Verification: More Than Just a Text Code
Samaritan currently requires two-step verification and publishes unusually detailed setup instructions. Patients can start with text/email verification and can later add an authenticator app or a passkey.
| Security method | How it works | Useful detail |
|---|---|---|
| Email or SMS code | MyChart sends a code after username/password login. | Samaritan says code delivery may take 1–2 minutes and each code expires after 15 minutes. |
| Trusted device | Leave “Skip security codes next time I’m on this device” selected when verifying a personal device. | Samaritan says this can avoid another code on that device/browser for one year. |
| Authenticator app | Add an authenticator after first setting up email/text verification. | Samaritan supports time-limited codes from apps such as Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator or a supported built-in device authenticator. |
| Passkey | Uses device security such as PIN, facial recognition, fingerprint, iCloud Keychain or Google Password Manager. | Samaritan says email/text 2FA must be configured before adding a passkey. |
Log in normally
Enter your Samaritan MyChart username and password.
Confirm your email or mobile number
Correct outdated contact information before relying on it for future recovery.
Choose text or email as the primary delivery method
Samaritan notes that you initially choose one default method; another method can be added later.
Wait briefly before resending
Samaritan recommends allowing about 1–2 minutes. If SMS fails, try email when the portal offers it.
Trust only a personal device
Do not use the “skip codes” option on a shared, public or workplace device that other people can access.
Updating the verification method: Samaritan directs users to Menu → Personal Information to verify or update the phone/email used for two-step authentication.
Official video note: Samaritan’s own MyChart FAQ links patients to a “MyChart two-step verification” video. A direct stable video-host URL was not independently verified, so this article does not embed a third-party copy. Use the official Samaritan MyChart FAQ to open Samaritan’s endorsed video.
Forgot Password, Lost Code or Keep Getting Logged Out?
Forgot password
Use the official Forgot Password/“Forgot login information?” route. Samaritan also lists MyChart Patient Support at 541-768-5765 or 855-635-8304.
Lost or expired activation code
Call MyChart Patient Support. After identity verification, Samaritan says a replacement code can be provided.
Activation code rejected
Codes expire after 30 days and become invalid after the first successful use.
Logged out after walking away
Samaritan automatically logs MyChart out after about 15 minutes of keyboard inactivity.
Portal will not load
Samaritan lists current Edge, Chrome and Safari among supported browsers. The portal also requires JavaScript and cookies.
Wrong email or phone for 2FA
If you cannot update the contact method yourself, call Samaritan MyChart support rather than repeatedly generating codes to an old destination.
What You Can See in MyChart—and What Is Still Missing
Samaritan is unusually clear that MyChart is not an exact copy of your entire medical record. That distinction can prevent a lot of unnecessary troubleshooting.
| Information | What Samaritan says | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Lab/pathology/imaging results | Generally released once finalized. Some results may be delayed by two business days so a clinician can discuss them first. | Remember that sensitive results can appear before you have spoken with your care team. |
| X-ray / CT / MRI images | The actual imaging films are not available in MyChart. | The radiology report/narrative may be visible; formally request images when you need the films themselves. |
| Provider notes | Most clinical notes can be viewed from a past visit or hospital stay. | Open Appointments & Visits and select the past encounter. |
| OpenNotes | Samaritan describes OpenNotes access for patients age 13 and older. | Ask your care team when terminology in a clinical note is unclear. |
| Some historical/nursing/minor records | Certain historical notes, nursing notes and some information involving patients under 18 are not shared in MyChart. | Use Health Information Management when you need the complete set. |
Correct a medication or allergy
Samaritan says you can request medication/allergy changes from Menu → Health Summary, then use the appropriate medication or allergy tab.
Correct something else in the medical record
Samaritan requires a Patient Request for Amendment of Medical Record for other record corrections, including requested corrections to a clinical note.
MyChart Messages: Give the Clinic Two Business Days
Samaritan’s terms and FAQ say staff generally try to answer MyChart questions or requests within two business days. The reply may come from a clinic team member rather than the physician personally.
Good uses for MyChart messaging
- Non-urgent follow-up questions.
- Clarifying an existing care plan.
- Routine refill or medication questions where MyChart permits it.
- Questions that can reasonably wait for the clinic workflow.
Call instead when
- You need an answer before the two-business-day window.
- Symptoms are changing quickly.
- You cannot select the correct clinician/team.
- The portal message concerns an urgent medication problem.
Emergency rule: Samaritan says not to use MyChart for an emergency or urgent situation. Call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department when immediate care is needed.
Appointments: Online Scheduling, Waitlist, E-Check-In and “I’m Here”
Samaritan has expanded its MyChart appointment tools substantially. Several useful features are easy to miss if you only use MyChart for results.
Schedule established primary-care visits
Samaritan says online primary-care scheduling is currently available for patients who have visited their provider within the previous two years.
In MyChart, open Appointments & Visits and follow the scheduling prompts. If no suitable times appear, contact the clinic directly.
Ask for an earlier appointment
Many patients with upcoming appointments can opt into Samaritan’s MyChart waitlist for earlier openings. Open the upcoming appointment and choose the option indicating you would like to be seen sooner.
E-Check-In
Before a visit, MyChart can let you review/update personal information, verify insurance and complete required forms from home.
“I’m Here” arrival alert
Samaritan’s September 2026 guidance says patients who fully complete e-check-in and have notifications enabled may receive an “I’m Here” alert about 30 minutes before the appointment.
Skip the front desk when eligible
After arriving, select I’m Here when the option is offered. Samaritan says eligible patients can then go to the waiting area rather than repeating check-in.
Practical setup before your next visit: go to Account Settings → Communication Preferences, enable text/email notifications, finish e-check-in early and confirm insurance/contact information before leaving home.
MyChart E-Visits, KeyCare and “On My Way” Are Different Services
Samaritan uses MyChart as a gateway to several same-day care options. Choosing the wrong one can waste time, so compare what each actually does.
| Option | How it works | Important limits |
|---|---|---|
| MyChart E-Visit | Answer symptom questions and communicate with a Samaritan provider through secure MyChart messaging. | Samaritan says you need a MyChart account and must reside in Oregon for its MyChart E-Visit service. |
| KeyCare virtual visit | On-demand video visit with a KeyCare clinician. | Current Samaritan guidance lists a $59 self-pay fee, availability 24/7 nationwide, and says Medicare/Medicaid patients cannot use the self-pay KeyCare option under applicable rules. |
| On My Way | View walk-in clinic wait times, choose a location and hold a place in line. | It is not an appointment guarantee; follow the instructions for the selected walk-in location. |
| Scheduled video visit | Meet with your Samaritan care team by video using current Epic video technology. | Prepare camera, microphone, internet connection and a private space before the appointment. |
Telehealth preparation: Samaritan recommends testing the camera/microphone, keeping the device charged, using front lighting, sitting somewhere private, having the clinic number nearby, and being prepared to give the provider your physical location and callback number.
Samaritan MyChart Proxy Access Changes at Age 13
This is one of the most important Samaritan-specific rules for families. Parent/guardian access for a young child does not simply continue unchanged through adolescence.
| Patient | Access rule | What happens next |
|---|---|---|
| Child under 13 | Parent/legal guardian can request pediatric proxy access. | Access can be requested through the pediatric clinic, Medical Records or MyChart Support. |
| 13th birthday | Pediatric proxy access automatically terminates. | The adolescent may obtain their own Samaritan MyChart account. |
| Age 13–17 | Samaritan can limit parent-visible information because minors have privacy rights for certain services. | The adolescent can invite a parent/guardian to become a proxy if desired and allowed. |
| Adult / adolescent proxy | Patient age 13+ can invite another person through their own account. | Access ends if the patient revokes it, requests termination or an expiration date is reached. |
Remove someone’s proxy access
- Open Menu.
- Select Sharing Hub.
- Select Manage Friend and Family Access.
- Choose Revoke beside the person.
Do not share one adult account
Samaritan’s FAQ says spouses should not share a single MyChart account. Each adult should maintain their own account and use authorized proxy access where appropriate.
Messaging another person’s problem from your own chart can put information in the wrong record. Samaritan specifically says not to ask questions about a family member from your own patient account. Switch to the authorized proxy record first.
Need the Complete Medical Record? MyChart May Not Be Enough
Use MyChart for convenient access to appointments, results, notes and immunizations. Use a formal records request when you need a complete file, imaging material not shown in MyChart, legal documentation or information excluded from the portal.
Formal online request
Samaritan uses a secure records-request service for formal requests. The official page says most requests are fulfilled within 30 days, although timing varies by file size, record location and requested information.
The records fulfillment vendor MRO can help with online requests and request-status tracking.

Billing: Online Pay, Paperless Statements and Payment Plans
Samaritan’s billing system offers more flexibility than a simple “pay now” button. Patients can pay online without a MyChart account, use several payment methods, create eligible short-term payment plans and apply for assistance.
Online payment
Samaritan accepts major credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay and electronic withdrawal from a checking or savings account through its MyChart billing system.
Six-month MyChart plan
Samaritan says balances from $50 to $5,000 may qualify for an interest-free MyChart payment plan of up to six months.
90-day option
Samaritan also lists a 90-days-same-as-cash option with no interest when paid within 90 days of the first statement.
Longer-term financing
Samaritan works with AccessOne for extended medical payment plans. Its current billing page says all patients qualify, with no application or annual fees and no credit reporting.
Multiple visits on one statement
Samaritan uses a guarantor billing system, so one statement can contain multiple visits. That does not by itself mean the same service was billed twice.
Paperless billing: Samaritan encourages paperless statements through MyChart. New MyChart users are automatically enrolled under its current process. If two billing notifications go unopened, Samaritan says a paper statement is mailed. You can change preferences in the Billing/Communication settings or call billing support.
Before your next appointment: Samaritan’s September 2026 MyChart guidance recommends adding a payment method ahead of time if you want to handle pre-service copays and e-check-in more efficiently.
Financial Assistance and the Uninsured Discount
If a Samaritan balance is not affordable, check assistance before ignoring the statement or putting a medical balance on high-interest consumer credit.
Uninsured self-pay discount
Samaritan’s current financial-assistance page says uninsured patients who self-pay receive a 20% discount regardless of income. The discount appears on the Samaritan Health Services billing statement.
Financial-assistance review
Assistance can reduce or fully cover eligible balances depending on financial need. Samaritan says completed financial-assistance applications take no more than 30 days to process.
Documents the official application may require
- Most recent federal tax return.
- Current proof of income.
- Bank statements.
- Financial-aid award letter and transcripts for applicable students.
- Proof of certain state assistance such as SNAP/food benefits, WIC or school-lunch assistance where applicable.
Samaritan says other possible sources of payment—such as insurance or qualifying third-party coverage— must be considered before financial assistance is granted.
Before Care: Use an Estimate Instead of Guessing the Bill
Samaritan provides both signed-in MyChart estimates and guest estimates. Its price-transparency page also publishes machine-readable standard-charge files for each hospital.
MyChart estimate
If you have a MyChart account, Samaritan recommends signing in so the estimate tool can use insurance information already on file when available.
Estimate assistance
Samaritan lists estimate customer service at 800-789-1957 or 541-768-5344.
An estimate is not a final bill. Samaritan notes that insurance benefits, outside laboratories, anesthesiology, radiology, supplies and changes in the actual care delivered can change what you ultimately owe.
Samaritan MyChart App, Passkeys and Linked Records
Choose Samaritan Health Services
The MyChart app serves many organizations. Make sure the organization matches your Oregon Samaritan care before entering credentials.
Happy Together
Samaritan’s current terms say patients may have the option to connect MyChart accounts from other Epic organizations using the Happy Together feature.
MyChart Central / Epic ID
The current login screen also references MyChart Central/Epic ID for people who have set up centralized Epic account access.
Samaritan Text Messages: Current Short Code Is 87107
Samaritan uses text messaging for appointment reminders, MyChart account notices, one-time codes, billing notifications, medication reminders and care-management messages.
Opt in
Text START to 87107, or enable text messages under Account Settings → Communication Preferences.
Stop messages
Reply STOP to opt out.
Need text-message help?
Reply HELP or call 800-640-5339.
Privacy trade-off: Samaritan warns that ordinary SMS is not encrypted and can include protected health information. Someone who can view your phone or notifications may see information you consider private.
2026 Samaritan–MultiCare Affiliation: Will MyChart Change?
Samaritan’s current affiliation FAQ, updated August 24, 2026, addresses this directly. It says patients will continue to have access to Samaritan MyChart without disruption to access or features.
The same official update says the proposed affiliation had received conditional Oregon Health Authority approval but still had legal, regulatory and administrative steps remaining. Samaritan and MultiCare said they would continue operating independently until closing.
If new MultiCare branding appears in future communications, do not automatically assume the current Samaritan MyChart domain has changed. Start from Samaritan’s official website or current patient portal until Samaritan itself publishes a new login route.

The Samaritan MyChart Network Covers Five Oregon Hospitals
Samaritan Health Services says its five-hospital network serves communities across Linn, Benton and Lincoln counties and parts of Polk and Marion counties. The system also has more than 100 clinics. Your MyChart appointment may therefore be nowhere near the main Corvallis hospital.
| Hospital | Address | Main phone |
|---|---|---|
| Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center | 3600 NW Samaritan Dr, Corvallis, OR 97330 | 541-768-5111 |
| Samaritan Albany General Hospital | 1046 6th Ave SW, Albany, OR 97321 | 541-812-4000 |
| Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital | 525 N Santiam Hwy, Lebanon, OR 97355 | 541-258-2101 |
| Samaritan North Lincoln Hospital | 3043 NE 28th Street, Lincoln City, OR 97367 | 541-994-3661 |
| Samaritan Pacific Communities Hospital | 930 SW Abbey St, Newport, OR 97365 | 541-265-2244 |
Do not drive to a hospital just because its name appears in this guide. Open the actual MyChart appointment and confirm the clinic name, city, street address and arrival instructions. Samaritan has many outpatient offices beyond these five hospitals.
The map is for orientation to the main Corvallis hospital only. It is not an appointment confirmation.
If You Use MyChart at More Than One Health System
MyChart is an Epic platform, but each organization controls its own support numbers, proxy rules, virtual-care options and billing policies. Do not carry one provider’s instructions into another provider’s account without checking.
Our SSM MyChart patient portal guide is a useful example of how the same Epic platform can have different enrollment and support rules. For Samaritan care, always use Samaritan’s official instructions above.
Samaritan MyChart Frequently Asked Questions
1. What is the official Samaritan Health Services MyChart website?
For Samaritan Health Services in Oregon, use mychart.samhealth.org. Do not confuse it with Samaritan Healthcare in Washington, which is a separate health system with different portal support.
2. What number do I call for Samaritan MyChart login or activation help?
Samaritan Health Services lists MyChart Patient Support at 541-768-5765 and toll-free 855-635-8304. Its FAQ also lists mychart@samhealth.org for MyChart questions.
3. How long does a Samaritan MyChart activation code last?
Samaritan says an activation code expires after 30 days and is no longer valid after its first successful use. If yours is lost or expired, contact MyChart Patient Support for a replacement.
4. How does Samaritan MyChart two-step verification work?
After entering your username and password, MyChart can send a code by text or email. Samaritan says delivery may take 1–2 minutes and each code expires after 15 minutes. A trusted personal device can be set to skip another security code for up to one year.
5. What happens to a parent’s Samaritan MyChart access when a child turns 13?
Samaritan says pediatric proxy access automatically ends on the child’s 13th birthday. The adolescent can then obtain their own MyChart account and may invite a parent or guardian as a proxy under the adolescent/adult process.
6. How long should I wait for a reply to a Samaritan MyChart message?
Samaritan says users generally receive a response within two business days. Call the provider’s office if you need a faster response and use emergency care for emergencies.
7. Why can I see a test result before my Samaritan clinician calls me?
Samaritan says most lab, pathology and imaging results become visible after they are finalized. Some results may be delayed by two business days so the clinician can discuss them first, but many results—including sensitive results—can appear quickly.
8. Can I pay a Samaritan Health Services bill without a MyChart account?
Yes. Samaritan’s billing page says patients can make secure online payments through its MyChart billing system even without a MyChart account. It accepts major credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay and electronic checking/savings withdrawals.
9. Is MyChart the same as my complete Samaritan medical record?
No. Samaritan says MyChart is not an exact copy of the complete medical record. Certain historical notes, nursing notes and some information involving minors may not appear. Health Information Management can provide complete records through a formal request.
10. What is the difference between a Samaritan MyChart E-Visit and the $59 virtual visit?
A Samaritan MyChart E-Visit is an Oregon-based secure messaging visit that requires a MyChart account. Samaritan’s current KeyCare option is a separate on-demand video visit with a $59 self-pay fee, available 24/7 nationwide; Samaritan says Medicare and Medicaid patients cannot use that self-pay KeyCare option under applicable regulations.
