Eisenhower Health MyChart is the patient portal used by Eisenhower Health patients in Rancho Mirage and across the Coachella Valley. It provides secure access to parts of the medical record, appointments, test results, messages, prescription renewals, billing, estimates and approved family/proxy records.
The useful details go well beyond the login link: activation codes expire after 30 days, two-factor authentication is now required, different tests follow different release schedules, refill requests can take 48 hours, teen proxy access changes at age 13, and Eisenhower’s Health Information Management office recently moved to Palm Desert.
Quick answer: the current official Eisenhower Health MyChart portal is mychart.eisenhowerhealth.org. MyChart Help is available at 760-837-8595, Monday-Friday from 8 a.m.-5 p.m.. Billing questions use 800-453-6012, while formal Medical Records/HIM requests use separate Health Information Management contacts.
Privacy boundary: MyChart-Health.org is an independent informational website. It is not Eisenhower Health, Eisenhower Medical Center or Epic. Never enter a username, password, activation code, six-digit verification code, medical-record number, date of birth, insurance details or payment information on this website.
Use the Correct Eisenhower Page for the Task
Eisenhower uses separate official routes for account signup, recovery, guest billing, estimates and formal medical records. Starting from the right page prevents unnecessary support calls.
| Task | Official route | Have ready | What happens next |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sign in | Eisenhower MyChart login | Existing MyChart username/Epic ID, password and access to your 2FA method. | Complete six-digit two-factor verification. |
| Create an account | Eisenhower online signup | Identity and contact information matching your Eisenhower medical record. | Verification may be immediate or the clinic may review the request and send an activation code. |
| Use activation code | Activation-code signup | The code shown on your enrollment letter or After Visit Summary. | Codes expire after 30 days or immediately after successful activation. |
| Forgot username/password | Account Recovery | Email/contact information already connected with the account. | Two-step verification may be used to confirm identity. |
| Pay without login | Pay as Guest | Guarantor name and account number from the statement. | Sign in instead if you want saved payment methods, payment history or plan tools. |
| Create cost estimate | Guest Estimate | Procedure/service name or CPT code and insurance benefit information when applicable. | Guest estimates can be printed or emailed but are not staff-reviewed automatically. |
Signup: Activation Code or Online Identity Verification
If you received an activation code
- Use it only on the official Eisenhower MyChart portal.
- It may appear on an After Visit Summary or other Eisenhower enrollment material.
- The code automatically expires after 30 days.
- It also expires immediately after successful account creation.
If you do not have a code
Eisenhower’s online signup form collects identifying information and can use third-party identity verification. Eisenhower states that the verification answers are not stored by the clinic.
If automatic verification fails, the request can be sent to the clinic. Eisenhower’s current signup page says an activation code may then arrive by email or letter within up to one week.
Existing account detected? Eisenhower’s signup system can recognize that an account already exists and directs patients back to username/password recovery. Do not create a second account simply because you forgot the old login.
HIM MyChart Activation: 760-773-1298, Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m.

Eisenhower Two-Factor Authentication Is Now Required
Eisenhower began turning two-factor authentication on in February 2025 and its published rollout made 2FA required beginning in May 2025. That means current users should expect a second identity-verification step when MyChart requests it.
Confirm your contact information
MyChart first asks you to confirm or update the email address and mobile number that can receive codes.
Choose a verification method
Eisenhower supports verification by email or text and also describes an authenticator-app option in MyChart security settings.
Enter the six-digit code
Enter the newest six-digit code sent for that login session.
Keep the MyChart page open on desktop
Eisenhower specifically warns desktop users to open email in a new tab or window. Leaving the MyChart page can start another 2FA prompt and generate a new code, which expires the earlier code.
Code not arriving? Eisenhower says 2FA emails come from NoReply@EisenhowerHealth.org. Check spam/junk, confirm the email address, or try the text option. If neither works, call 760-837-8595.
Where to manage 2FA later
In the mobile app, Eisenhower directs users to Menu → Account Settings → Two-Step Verification. On desktop, use Menu → Security Settings. Email, text and authenticator-app options can be managed there.
Forgot Username or Password?
Recover username
Eisenhower’s username recovery asks for first name, last name, date of birth and the email address on file. If those details match, the username is sent to that email.
Reset password
Password reset uses the MyChart username, date of birth and account email address. If the account information is unavailable or outdated, use the Help Desk instead of repeatedly guessing.
Account recovery now uses two-step verification to help confirm identity. Make sure you still control the email address and mobile phone connected to the account before beginning.

Test Results: Eisenhower Uses Different Release Schedules
Eisenhower’s FAQ gives more detailed result timing than the usual “within days” description. The timing depends on whether the test was outpatient, inpatient, radiology, pathology or another type.
| Result type | Published MyChart timing | What to know |
|---|---|---|
| Outpatient laboratory test | Next day after final result, generally between 7 a.m.-7 p.m. | Special send-out testing can take longer. |
| Inpatient laboratory test | Two days after final result. | Eisenhower says Show Hospital Results must be checked; release is generally between 7 a.m.-7 p.m. |
| Pathology / cytology | Seven days after final result. | Contact the provider sooner if you need to discuss the result. |
| Radiology / imaging / selected cardiology reports | 24 hours after the final read. | Hospital results may require the Show Hospital Results option. |
| Outpatient provider note / patient letter | As soon as the provider signs it. | Behavioral Health and Addiction Medicine records use different access rules. |
| Hospital / ED / Urgent Care provider notes | Signed notes are released after discharge. | Additional hospital records can be requested through HIM. |
Eisenhower also notes that general result release can fall within roughly 1-12 days and that a clinician may decide not to release a particular result electronically. A delay does not necessarily mean the test was lost.
Results that may need another route
- Bone density, sleep studies and endoscopy/colonoscopy records may be available through MyEMC/OneContent Records or a Medical Records request.
- Genetic-testing reports are directed to Health Information Management.
- Certain highly sensitive results are not released electronically.
- Specialized outside laboratory testing can take longer or return in a format that does not automatically appear in MyChart.
Messages: Who You Can Contact and How Long Replies Take
Response goal
Eisenhower’s current FAQ says its goal is to respond to MyChart clinical messages within 2 business days, depending on clinic volume. Weekends and holidays are not included in that response goal.
Not every provider can be messaged
A provider generally needs to be on your care team and you must have had an outpatient Eisenhower visit with that provider within the previous year. Some providers do not participate in MyChart messaging.
Eisenhower says MyChart messaging is not available to Hospitalists, Emergency Room providers or Urgent Care providers. Contact those services through their appropriate clinical route instead.
Do not use MyChart for emergencies or urgent medical needs. Eisenhower’s terms give an anticipated message turnaround of 1-3 business days. Call 911, use emergency care or contact the clinic directly when the problem cannot safely wait.
Writing a long message? Eisenhower’s MyChart session can time out after about 15 minutes. For a long message, draft it first in a notes app and paste it into MyChart, or extend the session when the warning appears. Allow pop-ups from the official MyChart site if you want to see that warning.
Prescription Refills: Allow 48 Hours and Check the Prescriber
Normal MyChart refill timing
Eisenhower asks patients to allow approximately 48 hours for refill requests to be processed. If medication is needed sooner, contact the provider’s office directly.
Not every prescription can be renewed in MyChart
Eisenhower says prescriptions from Hospital, Emergency Room or Urgent Care visits cannot be refilled through MyChart.
MyChart refill requests are also limited to participating Eisenhower Medical Associates and Eisenhower clinic providers; an independent physician can be located on the Eisenhower campus without participating in portal refill requests.
To change or add the pharmacy used for a prescription, Eisenhower advises contacting the authorizing provider or primary-care clinic. A pharmacy change can also be discussed at the next visit.
Appointments, Lab Scheduling and Guest Scheduling
Eisenhower MyChart can be used to request clinic appointments and, for supported services, schedule appointments directly. Some appointment workflows also allow a person to continue as a guest.
Existing MyChart user
Sign in first so MyChart can use information already associated with your patient record. Appointment details, reminders and follow-up information can remain together in the portal.
Guest scheduling
Some Eisenhower scheduling pages offer Continue as a Guest. The guest workflow asks for patient demographics, contact information and insurance details before showing eligible appointment options.
Eisenhower’s current patient information also highlights MyChart wait-list requests for earlier appointment openings. If the wait-list feature is offered for your visit, email or text can notify you when an earlier slot becomes available.
Proxy Access: Child, Teen and Adult Rules
Family access should be created through Eisenhower proxy authorization—not by sharing one username and password. Eisenhower says each adult should maintain their own MyChart account.
| Patient age | Current FAQ guidance | Practical meaning |
|---|---|---|
| 0-12 | Account is created after the parent/guardian completes the proxy request; access is Child-Adult. | The parent/guardian uses their own account for approved access. |
| 13-17 | Teen can have an individual MyChart account and parent/guardian proxy access can continue after the proxy form is completed. | Existing Child-Adult proxy automatically changes to Teen-Adult at the 13th birthday. |
| 18+ | Adult has an individual account; spouse, parent or guardian must separately request proxy access. | Adult records are not managed through a shared family login. |
Age-12 detail worth checking: Eisenhower’s legal MyChart Terms state that an individual must be at least 12 to request a personal MyChart account, while the current FAQ groups proxy access as ages 0-12 and individual teen access as 13-17. For a 12-year-old’s exact access level, confirm with the HIM MyChart Team at 760-773-1298 rather than assuming which rule applies.
Adult proxy authorization
Eisenhower’s current proxy form states that the patient authorizes the proxy to see the confidential information available through MyChart. The authorization remains valid until revoked. Eisenhower can also ask for documentation supporting a legal relationship when necessary.
Do not message about a family member from your own personal chart. Eisenhower warns that the communication can be stored in the wrong medical record. Switch into the approved proxy record first.
Medical Records: HIM Moved to Palm Desert in August 2026
Eisenhower Health Information Management manages formal medical records. The public HIM office moved effective August 31, 2026, so an older Rancho Mirage office address found in saved paperwork may no longer be the correct walk-in location for a records request.
Current HIM public office
Eisenhower Health Information Management34160 Gateway Drive
Palm Desert, CA 92260
Eisenhower says to use the entrance on the back/west side of the building.
Release of Information hours:
Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m.
Phone:
760-773-1211
Fax: 760-773-2020
When MyChart is not enough
- Records prior to 2006 should be handled through HIM.
- Formal paper copies use the release-of-information process.
- Genetic-testing reports are directed to HIM.
- Behavioral Health/Addiction Medicine records can require HIM.
- Imaging CDs use Eisenhower Imaging Records at 760-674-3876.
Sending records to a physician outside Eisenhower? Eisenhower gives two options: send a MyChart Customer Service message with subject Medical Records and provide the outside office’s contact/fax details, or ask the receiving physician’s office to fax a request to Eisenhower HIM at 760-773-2020.
Eisenhower’s proxy authorization PDF still lists 39000 Bob Hope Drive, Rancho Mirage for written proxy revocation, while the public HIM office moved to Palm Desert on August 31, 2026. If you are mailing a proxy change or revocation, confirm the correct current destination with the HIM MyChart Team at 760-773-1298 first.
Deceased patient’s records
Eisenhower says a family member cannot simply take over a deceased patient’s MyChart account. Records may be released to a legally authorized personal representative such as an executor/administrator, or to a surviving relative’s healthcare provider for treatment when the required request is supplied.
MyChartCentral, Linked Records and Third-Party Apps
MyChartCentral
Eisenhower supports MyChartCentral for patients with MyChart accounts at multiple participating health organizations. It can provide a single starting point for linked accounts.
Happy Together / linked information
Participating Epic organizations can allow selected information from multiple MyChart accounts to appear together, depending on compatibility and patient authorization.
Third-party health apps
Eisenhower permits patients to authorize outside health applications to import supported information, but those apps are not operated by Eisenhower and may follow different privacy rules.
An outside app can potentially receive sensitive health information after authorization. Eisenhower specifically warns that third-party apps may not be subject to the same health-privacy obligations and may use data for advertising or other secondary purposes. Review the app’s privacy policy before approving access.
MyEisenhower App vs Epic MyChart Mobile
Eisenhower offers its own MyEisenhower app, while patients can also use Epic’s MyChart mobile app. The two approaches overlap but are not identical.
| App | Best use | What Eisenhower highlights |
|---|---|---|
| MyEisenhower | Eisenhower-specific mobile hub. | MyChart records, provider contact, locations/directions, bills, appointments and Eisenhower information. |
| Epic MyChart | Useful for people with MyChart at multiple organizations. | Search for Eisenhower Health inside the MyChart app and sign in with the same account. |
Eisenhower Urgent Care Video Visits Through MyChart
Eisenhower Urgent Care now offers MyChart-scheduled telehealth visits for selected non-life-threatening problems. This is not a general virtual-care route for every patient or symptom.
| Requirement | Current guidance |
|---|---|
| Age | Adult patients over age 18. |
| Location | Patient must currently be in California. |
| Published scheduling window | Monday-Thursday, 8 a.m.-6 p.m. |
| Current listed coverage | Eisenhower’s current video-visit announcement lists Medicare, PPO plans, Kaiser Permanente and VA/Tricare; verify your own coverage before scheduling. |
How to schedule the video visit
- Sign in to MyChart.
- Select Menu → Schedule an Appointment.
- Choose Video Visit.
- Confirm that you are over 18 and will be in California.
- Review the conditions appropriate for telehealth.
- Select an available appointment time.
- Verify requested information and add the reason for the visit.
- Select Schedule It.
Examples Eisenhower currently lists
- Cold and flu symptoms.
- Painful/burning urination.
- Seasonal allergies.
- Toothache or earache.
- Pink eye.
- Sinus pain or pressure.
- Selected rashes/skin conditions.
- Follow-up wound checks.
Medication-refill limit
Eisenhower lists some medication-refill needs as appropriate for video visits but excludes narcotic pain medications and methadone.
Telehealth Urgent Care is for selected non-emergency problems. For severe breathing trouble, chest pain, stroke symptoms, major bleeding or another emergency, call 911 or use emergency care.
Billing: MyChart, Guest Pay and Paperless Statements
Signed-in billing
MyChart can show account balances, individual statements, payment tools and available payment history. Use signed-in billing when you want more context than a one-time payment.
Pay as Guest
Guest Pay uses the guarantor name and account number shown on the statement. A visit account normally groups charges connected with a particular visit.
Billing questions
Inside MyChart, Eisenhower allows a Customer Service message with Billing Question as the subject. You can also call 800-453-6012.
Eisenhower supports paperless billing. Patients can turn paperless statements on or off through MyChart billing preferences and choose supported email/text statement notifications.
Patient Financial Services
Billing questions:
800-453-6012 or
760-773-1342
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m.
Cost Estimates: Signed-In vs Guest Estimate
Eisenhower lets patients create estimates with or without a MyChart account. The important difference is what information can be reused and whether the estimate is saved for later review.
Create an estimate while signed in
- Sign in to MyChart.
- Open Billing → Estimates.
- Select Create A New Estimate.
- Search by service keyword, CPT code or category.
- Verify insurance/benefit information when prompted.
- Review the disclaimer and save the estimate.
Eisenhower says a saved estimate is initially shown in Your Saved Estimates and appears in Finalized Estimates after staff review.
Create a guest estimate
- Open Create Guest Estimate.
- Read the disclaimer and complete the CAPTCHA.
- Search for the service or CPT code.
- Select an insurance category or continue without insurance.
- Enter requested insurance benefit details when applicable.
- Review the estimate summary.
A guest estimate cannot be saved to MyChart, but Eisenhower says it can be printed or emailed. Guest estimates are automatically finalized rather than being staff-reviewed.
An estimate is not a quote or guarantee. Final cost can change because of the actual services performed, insurance benefits and other clinical or billing factors. For estimate questions call 800-453-6012.
Good Faith Estimate: uninsured patients, or patients not using insurance for scheduled non-emergency care, have federal estimate rights. Eisenhower states that a bill at least $400 above the Good Faith Estimate may qualify for the federal dispute process.
Financial Assistance: California Charity Care and Discount Payment
Eisenhower Medical Center has formal assistance programs for uninsured and underinsured patients. The current policy extends beyond a simple “call billing if you cannot pay” approach.
Who may qualify
Eisenhower says a patient whose family income is at or below 400% of the Federal Poverty Level may be eligible for discounted services under its charity-care policy.
Patients whose out-of-pocket medical expenses during the prior 12 months exceed 10% of family income may also qualify under the policy.
What the application can provide
Eisenhower’s current application describes:
- Charity Care: potentially up to a full write-off of covered patient balances.
- Discount Payment: potentially a reduction of up to 70% of balances in the approved period.
| Percent of Federal Poverty Level | Patient responsibility currently listed as waived |
|---|---|
| 100% or below | 100% |
| 101%-199% | 70% |
| 200%-299% | 50% |
| 300%-400% | 10% |
Application documents
Eisenhower’s current application instructions require proof of income, using either the prior year’s federal tax return with schedules/attachments or six months of recent pay stubs or relevant benefit statements. Applicants are also asked for a letter explaining the financial situation and why normal payment arrangements cannot be made.

Eisenhower Health Main Campus in Rancho Mirage
Eisenhower Health serves communities throughout the Coachella Valley, so a MyChart appointment is not automatically located at the main hospital campus. Confirm the facility shown in the appointment first.
Main campus
Eisenhower Health Main Campus39000 Bob Hope Drive
Rancho Mirage, CA 92270-3221
Main phone: 760-340-3911
Eisenhower describes the Rancho Mirage site as its main Coachella Valley campus with the hospital and numerous specialty services.
Before driving there
- Open the exact appointment in MyChart.
- Confirm the building or health-center name.
- Check whether the visit is in Rancho Mirage, Palm Springs, La Quinta, Palm Desert or another Coachella Valley location.
- Do not use the main hospital address for a records-office visit—the public HIM office moved to Palm Desert.
Portal Safety Checklist
Before signing in
- Use mychart.eisenhowerhealth.org.
- Keep six-digit 2FA codes private.
- Expect genuine 2FA email from NoReply@EisenhowerHealth.org.
- Use official recovery instead of sending screenshots to strangers.
- Use proxy access instead of sharing another person’s password.
Before paying or connecting an app
- Use official Eisenhower MyChart or Patient Financial Services.
- Check the guarantor/account information against your real statement.
- Review a third-party app’s privacy policy before sharing health data.
- Do not assume an app is operated by Eisenhower because it can connect to MyChart.
Eisenhower MyChart FAQs
1. What is the official Eisenhower MyChart login website?
The official portal is mychart.eisenhowerhealth.org. Eisenhower Health’s public MyChart page links patients to that portal for records, messages, appointments, billing and account access.
2. How do I recover an Eisenhower MyChart username or password?
Use the Account Recovery options on Eisenhower’s official MyChart site. Username recovery can use the email address already on file; password reset verifies account information. If the recovery process fails, call the MyChart Help Desk at 760-837-8595.
3. How long does an Eisenhower MyChart activation code last?
Eisenhower says activation codes expire automatically after 30 days or immediately after the code is successfully used to create the account. Request a new code from MyChart support if necessary.
4. Is two-factor authentication required for Eisenhower MyChart?
Yes. Eisenhower’s published rollout made two-factor authentication required in 2025. MyChart uses a six-digit verification code sent by email or text, and security settings can also include an authenticator-app option. Eisenhower says 2FA emails come from NoReply@EisenhowerHealth.org.
5. When will Eisenhower test results appear in MyChart?
Timing depends on the test. Eisenhower currently lists outpatient labs for the next day after finalization, inpatient labs after two days, radiology and selected cardiology reports after 24 hours, and pathology/cytology after seven days. Some sensitive or specialized results require another records route.
6. How long should I wait for an Eisenhower MyChart message reply?
Eisenhower’s current goal is a response within two business days, depending on clinic volume. The MyChart Terms describe an anticipated response window of one to three business days. Do not use portal messages for urgent or emergency problems.
7. How does Eisenhower MyChart proxy access work for children and teens?
Eisenhower’s current FAQ groups ages 0-12 under Child-Adult proxy access and ages 13-17 under Teen-Adult access, with the proxy level automatically changing at the 13th birthday. Its legal terms also say a patient age 12 or older may request a personal account, so families dealing specifically with a 12-year-old should confirm the access setup with the HIM MyChart Team at 760-773-1298.
8. Where is the Eisenhower Medical Records office now?
Effective August 31, 2026, Eisenhower Health Information Management moved its public office to 34160 Gateway Drive, Palm Desert, CA 92260, using the west-side/back entrance. Release-of-information support is available at 760-773-1211.
9. Who can use Eisenhower Urgent Care video visits?
Eisenhower currently limits these MyChart-scheduled Urgent Care video visits to adults over 18 who are physically in California and have one of the supported non-emergency conditions. The current video-visit announcement lists appointments Monday-Thursday from 8 a.m.-6 p.m.
10. Does Eisenhower offer help if I cannot afford my hospital bill?
Yes. Eisenhower offers Charity Care and Discount Payment programs. Patients with family income at or below 400% of the Federal Poverty Level may qualify for assistance, and other financial circumstances can also be considered. Patient Financial Assistance help is available at 760-837-8376.
